Premier Free Online Summits

Frequently Asked Question

General Questions

What is an Online Audio Event (compared to a live event)?
Premier Summits are an opportunity to tune in to world class speakers using streaming audio on your computer, with the added benefit that participants can attend from anywhere in the world.

Are there any additional costs to attend?
No, unless you wish to upgrade to download the MP3 files or receive CDs. Consider, also, there are no travel costs, no hotel bills, and you can attend from the comfort of your own home.

What if I cannot listen at the specific time the presentation goes live?
No problem. You will have 24 hours access from the time each speaker is scheduled to listen to the presentation.

I did not get an email from you when I signed up.
We are sending emails daily during the summit. Please check your spam or junk folder for our emails and whitelist admin@PremierSummits.com.

Questions During the Summit

It is after 9 am eastern, why do I still see the speakers from yesterday?
This is due to your browser not refreshing to the new page. You are actually viewing the page that is saved to your temporary internet files on your computer and not the new page we have loaded. Try clicking on the “Refresh” button on your browser to download the new page.

If this does not solve the problem, it may be necessary to delete your temporary internet files. Do this in your browser by clicking on “Tools”, then clear browsing history. In some browsers the “Tools” menu may be slightly different.

I see the pictures of today’s speakers, but the audios are from yesterday.
First, all the audios start out with an introduction from Tom, so wait until you hear him introduce the speaker. If it is not the correct speaker, then it is the same issue as above and you need to refresh or clear your temporary internet files.

I do not see an audio bar or an arrow to start the audios.
These audio players are flash. You will need to use a browser that has flash installed. Most already do, but your browser may have it deactivated.

I missed some speakers, is there a way to listen to previous speakers?
Unfortunately, we cannot repeat the prior speakers for two reasons. First, a summit like this requires a tremendous amount of bandwidth to produce. We have allotted enough to stream one speaker per day. And secondly, the agreement we have with the speakers is we will only stream their presentations for 24 hours.

I am confused when 9am eastern time is in my time zone.
9 AM EST is Boston / New York time - USA East Coast Time. It is also 2PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). To see where you are relative to GMT click on the time on the lower right of your computer. This will open the clock, click on change time settings and the box that pops up will tell you where you are in GMT. For example, if you are in Paris, it will say GMT +1, so you will see the new speakers 3pm your local time.

If I begin to listen to a speaker before 9am, will I get cut off when you update to the new speakers?
No. The audio files are served from an independent server, so as long as you start listening prior to 9am, you will be able continue listening to the end. Do not refresh your browser in this case until you are done listening. The next time you refresh, you will see the new speakers and will not have access to the previous ones.

I got interrupted during a speaker and needed to come back later?
Can I fast forward so I don’t have to listen to the beginning again?
Sure. On the audio bar there is a pause button, if you do come back later just start the audio again and drag the black progress bar to the right. If you listened to the first half earlier, just move the bar half the way to the right.
